Meet Sarah Arshad! Sarah is a VCU grad and now works full-time at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Sarah worked withRick Stockel to find her dream home back in the Summer of 2019.
What caused you to work with Neumann+Dunn?
I’d been looking for a house that would have a lot of living space, open kitchen, huge backyard and good size bedrooms. I heard about Rick Stockel from one of my colleagues and he mentioned how great of an experience he had with Rick and that I should give him a call.
At that time, I was already working with another agent and she had me under a contract. Now, I did not have the best experience with her. I really wanted to get myself out of that contract to make my life easier and less stressful as she was pressuring me into buying a house that was way over my budget, not just over my budget but also not taking into consideration what I was looking for.
What solution did Neumann+Dunn provide for you?
After connecting with Rick and getting his advice on how I could get myself out of that contract, I started seeing houses with Rick. We started off with looking at every house that would become available in the market within my budget. Slowly, we started scaling it down to my needs and wants. Rick was always there to educate me on what I need to look for when I’m looking for a house, whether or not it would be a good fit for me in the long run. It felt like an endless search, but Rick was always available at any time of the day to show me a house!
Finally, the search ended and we found the most beautiful house with all of my needs and wants all in one bucket. Rick made sure that I was very comfortable with the purchase. He made my concerns valuable and made sure that I felt comfortable moving forward.
Now, I’ve closed on this property for a few months and I’ve painted my entire house all by myself. I have made some minor upgrades and am currently working on my bathroom upgrade. I have attached some before and after pictures below!
